    Hello everyone!

    I’ve recently taken a new postion as Director of CS at a start-up (biotech). I have lead CS teams in the past, but haven’t had the opportunity to create a team and all of the operations from the ground-up before.

    Curious to see if there is anyone else in this situation, or if you’ve been there and have any advice.

    Wish I had seen your message some time ago because it sounds like pretty much the same thing as I’m going through myself. Startups truly have a unique flavour in the sense that you rarely have much fundings and have to invent a lot of things as you go.

    One of the most frustrating things imo is that you do not have much data to rely on. You can do so many customer profilings and identify all your ambassadors but in the end, all the important metrics for turning the churn tide just aren’t there. Or at least not where I work.

    Let me know if any of this sounds similar and maybe we can activate some others around here too ;)
